The story goes after attending a Toad The Wet Sprocket concert the owner of Green Man decided to make a tribute beer. The IPA was made with several hop varieties including Simcoe, Centennial, Mosaic and Citra, but in all honesty the flavor came off as English in nature, more earthy and piney than citrusy perhaps that is because of the wet hops. Regardless the beer is tasty and the label art is phenomenal. Probably one of the nicest labels I’ve come across in a very long time. I don’t often comment on the label because most of the time it isn’t anything more than a description of what’s in bottle, but in this case the art by Nancy Joyce speaks to me.
