Today is the day before the National Homebrewers Conference and my day is full up with activities. Once I arrive in Baltimore I will first head over to the BJCP Reception which begins at noon. With the $30 price of admission comes lunch and several opportunities to expand my knowledge with the topics planned as understanding Sensory Perception of Beer, The Progress of Pre-Prohibition Porter, and Understanding and Judging Flavor Additives in Beer. Following that three hour session is a two hour interactive workshop on how to proctor tasting exams put on by the BJCP Education Directorate. Since the night would not be complete without an evening of beer related activity I got a ticket to BNA11 – 11 Years Of Shenanigans being held at Peabody Heights Brewery from 6 – 10pm. This $38 party generally has more beers available than you could possibly handle and is listing seven breweries participating which include Peabody Heights Brewery, Raven Beer, Oriole Park Beer, Monument City Brewing, Baltimore Brewing Company, Full Tilt, Fin City, and Antietam Brewery. It should be a full day of beeriness!
