So let’s suppose you are making straw purchases of firearms, let’s say 27 of them, get caught, and admit your crime. What should your sentence be for the criminal actions? If you live in Wisconsin and have Judge Rudolph Randa presiding over your case you get one year of probation. What a joke this whole case is, wasting time for nothing. Put the criminal in jail and let them know the seriousness of the actions. I cannot understand why a case involving the ATF would not end in serious jail time especially when we hear our government wants to be tough on gun crime. The judge noted a phrase often stated by those in the NRA and if he is in the NRA his membership should be revoked for allowing a criminal to walk.

This is what is wrong with our society, we have laws on the books, but then they get a plea deal and end up with little to no jail time and a slap on the wrist. Someone who illegally transferred 27 firearms should do some serious time and not be able to go home with a probationary sentence, especially not one as short as one year. Ridiculous!
