Not long ago I discovered AleSmith was now being distributed in North Carolina. One of the beers I picked up was an old favorite, AleSmith IPA. The 7.25 ABV IPA was divine with its piney and resinous hop profile. The bitterness in the aftertaste was actually more bitter than I remembered and that is just fine. While the malt was enough to keep the hops in check, it is certainly not the showcase for this beer. If you see this puppy out and about make sure to give it a spin around the block, you will not be disappointed.
