Yesterday I had the best Bloody Mary ever! It was at a bar in Key West on Duval Street named Tree Bar which is part of Rick’s and Durty Harry’s. The barkeep was Ed Conklin and his Bloody is a work of art and truly awesome. I think I captured the ingredient list, now I just have to figure out his secret to success. The ingredients were:
- Fresh horseradish
- Celery salt
- Pickapeppa Sauce
- Crystal Hot Sauce
- Lee & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
- Clamato juice
- Tomato juice
- Lime juice from lime wedge
Shake all and serve with a spicy dill pickle.
In my mind I can still taste how divine Ed’s creation is and don’t believe any other Bloody will ever measure up!
