As the saying goes, everything is bigger in Texas. The state is huge the population centers are slammed with large roads, major traffic, etc. But what does Texas lack? Open Carry.
As surprising as it may seem Texas, the one place you would think you could strap on a gun and roam around freely, does not allow open carry of a pistol. I’m not from Texas so I don’t know why, but while visiting I just find it odd that the place you immediately think of when you think of the wild west does not allow their residents to open carry. In fact when I went looking for the laws about the state I found they don’t allow someone to print who is concealing a pistol. So if you CC in Texas be sure that firearm outline is not visible through your shirt.
Anyway, since we flew into the state no firearms came along for the ridge, but the other takeaway from today’s post is to be sure to check the local laws if traveling with a firearm. What is legal where you are may not be legal elsewhere.
