Welcome to my blog and thanks for dropping by. This being the first post I should probably talk a little about the content. No, this is not going to be about sausages and potatoes, the topic will be firearms and fermentation. I expect the firearms to center mostly on pistols and the fermentation to focus on craft beer, but you never know what direction these things might head over time.

So why am I qualified to discuss these two topics. I am a certified NRA Pistol Instructor so that allows me to teach the basics of pistol handling and marksmanship. I’m by no means an expert on firearms, and my preference is revolvers over semi-automatics, but don’t hold that against me. In the world of beer I am a National BJCP Judge and have competed for the title of Beerdrinker Of The Year at Wynkoop in Denver. I would consider myself knowledgeable about beer, but with both topics I learn something new every day.

Anyway, that’s about enough for the first post. I hope whoever reads this will enjoy it and remember it’s about the journey, not the destination!
